In 2017, the GRC (Global Robotic Cluster) was officially launched. This federation of robotic clusters was created under the aegis of the REPA cluster in Daegu (South Korea) and the 4 other largest global clusters including Coboteam Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and the FFCRobotique for France.
Unique in the world by its structure and its functioning, it aims to be the place of reflection and promotion of robotics. It has set itself 3 major objectives:
- Promote the emergence of collaborative robotics, close to humans as part of the deployment of the fourth industrial revolution
- Effectively facilitate the realization of international projects by ensuring the relationship between the members of different clusters,
- To be a source of inspiration and knowledge sharing in the service of policies relating to the intelligent robot industry.
Today, the GRC is the world's largest federation of robotics clusters with 20 members from 17 countries. This real robotics "agora" is growing rapidly and brings together more than 2,500 companies, from startups to international groups spread over 22 time zones.
